You should have no problem with the trip. The folks you rent the 21' boat from will give you the proper route to follow. Picking up a copy of the Cruising Guide to the Abacos would be a great help not only in making that trip, but also giving you suggestions on what else to see and do. Is the trip worth it, you bet. We really enjoy the Green Turtle area. Again the Cruising Guide will be of help. Also, try to get by a VHF each morning at 8:15 and listen to the Cruisers Net on CH 68. It is a great source of information brought to you live each day. In addition to whats happening in the Abacos, weather, tides, tid bits of news, who is arriving and departing; you will also get the latest conditions at Whale Cay which is the passage used by bigger boats drawing 3 1/2 feet or more. I have not tried the inside passage behind Whale Cay because we have always been in a larger live aboard boat drawing a little more than 3 1/2'. Make sure the boat you rent has a good working VHF, it can be a help. Enjoy the trip, you will love it. If you would like specific questions answered, ie what to wear, bring, see, do, bringing in food, etc just email me directly. We will be heading over July 14-21 for our 6th trip.
