My wife and I stayed at Guana Seaside Village from 4/23 to 4/29. We had a great time snorkeling and diving with Froggies, and meeting nice people in the village. We visited Nippers several times and also Coco Beach to eat. The food(grouper) and conch was great, as well as the beach and ocean view. I guess both places are in the same family, and the owners seemed very nice. On the other hand, I can certainly relate to how you feel, and your feelings are justified. That beautiful settlement could, in due time, be ruined by patrons of Nippers. If I was a father living in the settlement on Guana, in a town in Ohio, New York, or Fresno, California, I would complain to my local councilmen and women. Why not try these channels, and have firm behaviors stipulated that will and will not be tolerated on and off the properties. For example, a lady close to Guana Seaside kept putting logs over the road to the place, to slow traffic down(gold carts don't go fast). So, after several warnings to her, and telling these people they don't have the right to infringe on the public's right on the public road, they still continued to place logs on the road. Funny, I thought there was no law on Guana, but I passed Glenn the next day driving two uniformed police officers back to the docks. They just visited the people and respectfully laid down the law, for the public good. The police always win, because they can put people who don't respect the public good in jail, but they can't put the police in jail(DUH!). The logs miraculously disappeared!! Don't take the law into your own hands; the hands of the law reach onto Guana from Abaco. Meet with the powers that be, including Glenn at Guana Seaside, and the owners of Nippers and Coco Beach. I'll bet you can end all of the frustrations you mentioned above with a good game plan. Perhaps, for example, several policemen in uniform can walk a beat around the settlement during hard partying time. They are bonded and have legal right for arrest and seizures, and they know how to do it professionally. You'd be surprised how loud a shiny badge speakks. I hope the problem is settled; the village has a peaceful atmosphere that my wife and I would never want to see compromised. Robert
