Wtih that draft I would suggest a rising mid tideor later. The problem with Don't Rock Passage is that many look at it as an alternative to Whale Cay during a rage-- but in those conditions there wil be a lot of breaking water in the northwes end of the DR passage as there is a considerable distance of shoal water that is exposed to seas coming through the N end of Whale. I use it primarily as a short cut to Marsh Harbor (from GTC). You are well advised to check conditions in Whale Cay passage (and there is a report every morning on cruisers net --ch 68@0800) but rage conditions are rare.
