I agree... If you are polite and use common sense, the Abacos are friendly and safe. That goes for Marsh Harbor as well as Hopetown. If you are near town, you can safely walk from restaurants to your lodging. There are no loud night clubs, and the ambience does not lend itself to drunk & disorderly types.
Most people are extremely helpful, with a small town kind of family feeling.
Beach areas are also safe... no annoying vendors or Don Juan types.
