OK, this is an ill tempered rant. Dog lovers - WE don't all LOVE your
dog(s)! Please be considerate of other travellers, and don't just smile
and say "OH, he's friendly" when the mutt jumps on us and slobbers. If I wanted a dog, I'd have one! I don't want yours. If others think the dog is cute, they'll let you know.
Examples of doggie no-no's - I have a boat at a marina where half of the people just MUST bring their dogs. The boats, in most cases, are too small. The dogs drape themsleves all over the dock, and we have to step over them while lugging our supplies.
The owners seem to think the dogs ar SOOO cute, we must not mind. When
the dogs get HOT, the owners squirt them with the hose. HOW CUTE! to get
splashed by someone's wet, smelly DOG! And, oh yes, those odgs have a
need to relive themselves. Please pick up!
